Back Track....Mt. Sto. Tomas Radar Station

This trek inspired our passion for climbing, hiking or trekking mountains.
It was a curious question from our son.
"What could be on those 2 radars we see from Baguio City?"
Back track Christmas Day 2012.

We woke up at 4am  December 25, 2012, after a very light noche buena (midnight meal). The cab we contracted the night before fetched us on that chilling morning. It was a one-way trip to the Green Valley in Baguio. The cab driver advised us to start early so that we can catch the sunrise.

After 45 minutes of travel from the city proper, we alighted and started with the trek. It wasn't really a difficult walk if I am to judge by my current hiking difficulty standards. But for a first timer, I was really exhausted and freezing from the cold windy breeze.

At time, 5am the place was still dark due perhaps to the noche buena the previous night. There were some Korean tourists who arrived in the place earlier than us.I was wrapped like an infant and they were dressed like they were going to a leisurely walk at the park.

The radars were in a fenced area. Nobody was allowed to go inside the perimeter. We walked to the side of the fenced area...quite steep and we were hesitant at first because we only brought one flashlight with us. The wind eerily howled but we still went on with the walk. Not too far from us, we can hear the Koreans giggling and guess what... they followed us.

Here are some photos taken during our first hike. Pardon the colors. They didn't turn out as colorful as we expected as we only used an Ipad and have forgotten to wipe the cam lens before the shoot.

Itchy Feet Documentaries

The concept of starting a blog with my husband began when I showed him my "helpful votes" from my Tripadvisor reviews. He suggested that he will take pictures of what I write. It seems a good idea. How about our son? He will be the presenter / "model". Whew a family affair!
Our feet are always itchy to walk around on just any surface we can step on....regardless of our intentions (whether to visit or tour, out of curiosity or just plain itchiness na "wala lang").
HS, SW & HP taken last August 2013 after the
Million People March (anti Pork Barrel Rally) in Luneta

So, to record the surfaces we stepped on or anything that interests our 5 senses, we came to the decision to immortalize our experiences.

Hubby is the "HS" (He Shoots)
I will be the "SW" (She Writes)
Our son will be the "HP" (He Poses)

Anyway, mark the date June 3, 2014.
Happy reading!
